How do free chips work?
You start with a stack of chips, and they top up through the day automatically. Lose the lot and you're never locked out for long — and since chips have no cash value, going broke costs you nothing but the moment.
Chips are the only currency the games use, and they behave like this: you get a stack when you arrive, and top-ups arrive through the day on their own. Sit down at any table and bet them like they matter — they don’t, which is the trick — and when a bad night takes the lot, the game doesn’t hold your seat hostage until you pay. You wait a little, the chips come back, and the town pretends not to have noticed.
Two things chips are not: they’re not money — no cash value, no cash-out, no winnings — and they’re not a meter designed to squeeze you. Chip packs are in the store for the impatient, but there’s no “buy chips to continue” wall: waiting is always enough, because the games are the product, not the shortage.
A practical note: however a stack got built — won loudly at the Lucky Saddle or topped up from the store — none of it is worth a penny on the way out. That’s the economy working as intended.
